A primer on Denver Promotional Products

Denver Promotional Products was founded in 2002 by Matt Nigro with one fundamental goal: to raise and fortify brand awareness for clients through the value of promotional products.

Matt’s expertise spans:

Marketing and promotions

Media relations/sales

Custom-branded interactive telecommunications

When Matt slides on over to his personal life, he’s typically hanging with his wife in Aurora, Colo., channeling his sports fan (Denver Broncos, Detroit Tigers), or eager to talk music, film or original comic book art.

About the founder of Denver Promotional Products

Matt Nigro, founder of Denver Promotional Products, earned a business degree in music and video from the Art Institute of Colorado. Among his high-profile clientele:

Alliance Entertainment

As a marketing and promotions coordinator, developed marketing initiatives for more than 300 record labels, including Bama Rags, on which Dave Matthews Band’s debut album, Remember Two Things, was released.

Manga Entertainment

Helped lead the U.S. launch of the Palm Pictures company owned by Island Records founder Chris Blackwell. Under Nigro’s auspices as national director of media relations, Manga attained the No. 1 ranking in U.S. market share. His industry ties and initiative led to feature stories in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune, Spin, Variety, Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter, among other industry stalwarts.

Unitone Recordings

Handled media relations for the company founded by Patrick Leonard, noted producer for Madonna.

To broaden his promotions horizons, Nigro built on his music industry foundation, shifting to sales and marketing across myriad industries, including:

MapQuest

As part of its online national sales team, managed more than 100 high-profile accounts, including the American Medical Association, the American Dental Association, Michelin, Morgan Stanley, Dr. Martens, JVC and Polo Jeans.

Colorado Department of Natural Resources

Saved the organization thousands of dollars through vendor negotiation and event coordination of the award-winning Colorado Peak Performance training program.

McCall’s

Instituted a custom-branded interactive telecommunications program for the Gruner + Jahr magazine.

Nigro brought his 15-year film, music and media industry credentials to bear with the founding of the predecessor of Denver Promotional Products, which became an authorized dealer for Kaeser & Blair, the largest independently owned distributor of promotional products. Through its affiliation with Kaeser & Blair, Denver Promotional Products offers hundreds of thousands of high-quality promotional products to escalate customers’ brand awareness while maximizing a return on their marketing investment
